  • Fees: $210 for a full Tuning or Technical; $70 per Retake portion;  Written Exams are $25.

      7:30 am morning slots; 1:00 pm afternoon slot
    • Written Exams Saturday October 3rd & Sunday, October 4th
      10:00 am both days

  • Technical: 8 slots available (over 2 days) 
  • Tuning: (one exam piano) 4 exams slots (over 2 days)

Exam Payment Voucher

To purchase an exam voucher:

  • Call (913) 432-9975 to order with a credit card.
  • Purchase an exam voucher in the PTG Store for the exam you are taking. Select RPT Exam Voucher from the Categories list. You’ll receive your voucher via the email address we have listed in your member record.

Tuning and Technical Exam vouchers should be purchased at least 10 days before your scheduled exam. After that date, fees should be paid directly to the exam sponsor. 

Written Exam:

  • $25. Purchase online from the PTG Store.
  • Administered by any RPT.
  • RPTs should send an email to writtenexam@ptg.org to go through the examiner orientation and to schedule digital exams you are proctoring for PTG members.

Full Tuning Exam:

  • Complete Tuning Exam: $210
  • 2-Part Retake: $140
  • 1-Part Retake: $ 70
  • Administered by a Certified Tuning Examiner (CTE)
